Representative Rob Woodall of the Seventh District of Georgia, U.S. House of Representatives to Address the 2019 AAWC Pressure Ulcer Summit

The AAWC is excited to announce that Congressman Rob Woodall of the Seventh District of Georgia will be a featured speaker at our upcoming Pressure Ulcer Summit in Atlanta, Georgia! During his five terms in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Woodall has held a variety of distinguished leadership roles including serving as a senior Member of the House Rules, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Budget Committees.

In the 115th Congress, Congressman Woodall worked diligently to lead a bipartisan effort to heighten awareness of the alarming prevalence of pressure ulcers and related ailments in America. He played an instrumental role in advancing passage of federal appropriations report language signaling strong congressional interest in the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services-led (CMS) efforts to reverse the alarming trends of hospital acquired pressure ulcers and injuries. Additionally, Congressman Woodall co-sponsored H.Res.1133, bipartisan legislation, introduced by Reps. Tom Emmer (MN-06) and Chellie Pingree (ME-01), to encourage comprehensive U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and CMS reviews and focus on current pressure ulcer and injury prevention models and management protocols.

The AAWC is extraordinarily grateful for Congressman Woodall's continued efforts and leadership to advance our mission for better health outcomes for the American people. We look forward to hearing his perspective on effective stakeholder collaboration with the United States House of Representatives, the Senate, the White House/Administration, and the relevant federal health care agencies to protect millions from preventable pressure ulcers and injuries. Reserve your seat today, you will not want to miss hearing from Congressman Woodall!
