Share your excitement for the AAWC 2022 Annual Conference

We’ve put together this toolkit to help you share your enthusiasm and experience at the AAWC 2022 Annual Conference! These resources, samples and tips to promote your participation whether you are an attendee, speaker or sponsor.

Follow AAWC on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for Annual Conference updates and announcements. Promote your participation by using the hashtag #AAWCAnnualConference. Using the official hashtag is a best practice that helps others easily find our posts. Monitoring the hashtag on social media also allows you to discover what others are posting. It also provides a window into the event for those unable to attend this year.

Submit a video

We're encouraging attendees, speakers and sponsors to create videos that we can share on the AAWC social media channels. Help us promote the 2022 #AAWCAnnualConference by recording and submitting a short video. These don’t have to be anything fancy - iPhone videos and Zoom recordings are fine!

Begin by introducing yourself. Then feel free to use some of these prompts:

  • Registered Attendees
    • Talk about why you are excited to attend the AAWC's 2022 Annual Conference.
    • In reviewing the program is there a session in particular that you look forward to attending?
  • Presenters
    • Summarize your session topic and description. 
    • Explain why attendees should attend your session.
    • What do you think makes this conference unique?
    • What are you looking forward to most at the conference?
  • Sponsors 
    • Discuss why you/your organization has chosen to support the AAWC's 2022 Annual Conference.
    • Why is the theme "Technology in Wound Care" important?

 

Tips for recording your video

  1. Video position - rotate your iPhone/smartphone horizontally to capture your video in widescreen format.
  2. Record in a quiet space.
  3. Clean and simple backgrounds work best (a plain wall, a potted plant, or a bookshelf works perfectly).
  4. Lighting should come from in front of you rather than from behind you. Avoid backgrounds with harsh light such as windows. If you need to, place a desk lamp/light behind your computer screen to illuminate your face.
  5. Don’t get too close to the camera. Position yourself so the camera is seeing you from the chest or waist up instead of just seeing your face.
  6. Try to have fun with it and let your personality shine through!
  7. Watch your own recording and re-record if you need to :)
